Flex is an electrical and electronic manufacturing company that helps a diverse customer base design and build products that improve the world. Joanna has held a variety of roles in her career as an HR Professional including mergers & acquisitions, compliance, data privacy, compensation, talent acquisition, and HRBP’s. She has also been co-leading a team of cross-functional business leaders focused on bringing flexible work to Flex.
Topic: Getting to Flexible - The Future of Work - Flex
Flex started looking at the concepts around flexible work, researching options for flexible work, and reviewing various examples of when flexible work was successful and not successful, pre-COVID-19. Once COVID-19 impacted Flex, it provided the largest pilot to review the opportunities and challenges of flexible work within the enterprise. In June, the company created a cross-function team of business leaders to focus on looking at flexible work beyond COVID-19. An additional team was formed to review and work through the logistics required to support the new concepts being proposed. This session today shares some of our research and the process Flex went through to prepare for supporting flexibility as a way for working moving forward.
